Mother Teresa’s letters

After hearing about Mother Teresa’s letters I was struck by a mix of emotions. It was both surprising and comforting to learn that Mother Teresa struggled with her own faith like the average person. Even more inspiring was to realize that Mother Teresa accomplished so much even though her faith wasn’t perfect, it gives hope for normal believers like me. It’s powerful to know that you don’t need to wait for a message from God to try and accomplish miraculous things. Mother Teresa seems more blessed now, because her letters show her humanity. I realize that I see this whole situation through the eyes of a believer, but still some of the attacks I’ve seen springing up from detractors is still disappointing, even a little disturbing. I also feel uneasy that Mother Teresa wished for her letters to be destroyed after her death. Still I want to buy the book, to get insight into a heart of greatness.
